How to refer

Dr Borukhson welcomes private referrals of adults (18 and over) with rheumatological and musculoskeletal conditions, including patients who would benefit from one-stop ultrasound assessment and a guided injection in the same visit; our conditions page lists what she treats. Infusion treatments are not provided privately through the practice; the usual route is through the NHS.

To refer a patient privately, please send a referral letter with relevant history, medications and any recent investigations to the practice. NHS referrals to Dr Borukhson's clinics at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust go through the usual NHS referral route, not through the practice. Patients can also self-refer: no referral is needed to be seen here, although an insurer will usually want a referral from the patient's GP, or a similar document, before it authorises the visit.

• Next-working-day appointments can almost always be arranged, with same-day sometimes possible for urgent referrals
• One-stop ultrasound clinics: point-of-care ultrasound during the consultation where it would help, and an ultrasound-guided injection in the same visit where appropriate (our ultrasound clinic page explains)
• A clinic letter to you after each appointment, as part of the patient's care unless they object, in line with GMC guidance; the patient receives a copy
• Consultations available in English, Russian and Ukrainian, for patients who would prefer to be seen in their own language
• Patients are seen at the private facilities run by Imperial College Healthcare Private Care at Charing Cross, Hammersmith and St Mary's Hospitals (our locations page gives directions); as a rule, new assessments are in person, and video and telephone consultations are offered for follow-ups and for discussing results, where appropriate, at the same fee
• Fee assured with every insurer she works with (the list is on our fees page), and part of Bupa's Open Referral network
